Wheat price lowest at $280/tonne in Pakistan
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan wheat price is the lowest of $ 280 per tonne compared with global markets to $ 329 a tonne, "said Commissioner Wheat Development in Food and the Ministry of Agriculture Shakeel Ahmad Khan.

Inflation was the main reason for rising prices and the higher value of the dollar against the rupee was also the reason he added. Prices of foodstuffs including vegetables, legumes are still at the lowest level compared with India, Afghanistan and Bangladesh, he added.
Pakistan produces an exportable surplus, such as wheat, rice, corn, other vegetables under crops, vegetables, fruits at reasonable prices. Despite difficult conditions due to flash flooding, harvesting of wheat is expected. the sugar cane production also registered significant increase, he said.
