Japan bought 163,435 metric tons of feed barley and 28,135 tons of feed wheat in a tender today, the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries said.
A breakdown of countries of origin wasn’t available, said Masafumi Otsuka at the ministry’s grain-trade division.
The ministry plans to hold its next tender on March 23 for a maximum of 30,000 tons of feed wheat and 200,000 tons of feed barley, Otsuka said by phone today.
