South Korean Groups Tender to Import 220,000 Tons of Wheat
Two South Korean feed-maker groups issued tenders to import a total of 220,000 metric tons of wheat for arrival in July through September, according to tender notices and two industry executives.
The Korea Feed Association, South Korea’s biggest grain- buying group, is seeking to purchase 110,000 tons of wheat for arrival in July and September, according to one of the notices, a copy of which was e-mailed to Bloomberg News. Bidding is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. local time today.
The Major Feedmill Group issued a separate tender to buy 110,000 tons of the grain for delivery in July and August, said the executives who asked not to be identified because tender information is confidential. The group will hold the bidding at 5 p.m. in Seoul today, another tender notice showed.
